Join Us for Our Inaugural Family Summer Program!

Did you know Georgiana Pittock hosted Portland’s first rose show in her backyard in the late 1800s? A passionate advocate for women and children, she also opened the city’s first childcare center — still operating today! We’re celebrating her legacy with engaging, family-friendly experiences that blend fun with learning, all nestled in her historic rose garden.
Join us for fourteen days of weekend fun at Pittock Mansion, where Portland families are invited to experience the joy of summer through hands-on activities, storytelling, and creative play — all in the spirit of Georgiana Pittock.
Each Saturday & Sunday from July 26–September 7, 12–4 PM:
Make-and-take crafts (paper roses, bookmarks, and more)
Storytelling about Georgiana’s inspiring life
Scavenger hunts & coloring activities
Activities are designed for kids ages 5–10 and included with adult admission. Always free for members!
And our museum store is offering unique rose-centric mementoes for sale!
Inaugural day bonus: Saturday, July 26, 12:00-2:00 pm only: Free samples of frozen lemon treats will be offered by a local company, Junior Lemon.
So, bring a picnic blanket and stay a while — enjoy the sunshine, views, and unforgettable charm of our front lawn.
There’s no place like Pittock Mansion. Let’s make this summer one to remember!
