The Pittock Mansion offers a host of fun and creative ways to help with school projects related to turn-of-the-century American history, interior design or the evolution of Portland's society and culture. Each year, a tour of the Pittock Mansion is part of thousands of school projects and field trips for students from Oregon and beyond
We encourage interactive learning. A single historic object such as an 1850 silver tea serving set, or an oil painting of Mount Hood by Thomas Hill in 1885, can be used to illustrate a broader historical theme. Your speech, report or term paper will come alive through the experience of your visit.
